Congratulations to the Santa Clara Sporting 98B Black Team for raising the most donations during the 2012 Goals for a Cure campaign. The team raised $2,824 last October and will tour El Camino Hospital on March 1st to meet the doctors and staff that perform the free mammogram service provided to women in need via the Goals for a Cure program donations.

The team will meet Dr. Imtiaz Qureshi and Pam Goose from the El Camino Breast Health Center, and tour the hospital’s Imaging Services facilities and their 3T Breast MRI machine.

Santa Clara Sporting raised over $28,000 in 2012, and over $124,000 since 2008 to fight breast cancer and provide the free mammogram service to women who need financial support to receive the breast exam.

Congratulations to the Sporting 98B Black team players, families and coaches for winning the award twice for raising the most donations out of all 35 Sporting Teams.  We are very proud of your accomplishments on and off the field!

The annual check donation ceremony will take place at 6:30pm on March 23rd at the Santa Clara Sporting Clubhouse!
