Goals for a Cure Donates $30,000 to El Camino Hospital - Over $155,000 Raised Since 2008

The Santa Clara Sporting 98B Black Team once again dominated the Goals for a Cure fundraising efforts for the third consecutive year, and presented El Camino Hospital with a Goals for a Cure donation check for $30,000 on Friday, March 21, 2014. The Sporting 98B Black Team raised more than $4,000 last October, and the combined total of donations raised by Sporting Teams in 2013 totalled more then $28,000. The Santa Clara Sporting Club Board of Directors voted to increase the donation to an even $30,000. Since 2008, the Goals for a Cure Campaign has raised and donated $155,000 to El Camino Hospital to provide women with financial need a free mammogram examination.

Michele van Zuiden, the Executive Director of the Women's Hospital at El Camino Hospital said the Women's Program has expanded their service and provides secondary follow-up exams, MRI exams and biopsy exams to women that test positive for breast cancer during their first test.

The Goals for a Cure program has provided breast exams for 331 women in Santa Clara County since 2008.
